This was originally the LNER (London and North-Eastern Railway) station. It became the LMS (London, Midland and Scottish) in 1911. The station stood near the southern extremity of Bedwellty Park. This one of five stations in the Tredegar locality, namely Nant y Bwch, Sirhowy, Tredegar, Southend, Pochin and Bedwellty Pits Halt. The station closed in 1960 or 1961.
The line of Sirhowy Railway Company was leased by the London and North Western Railway Company in 1876, this company in turn became a constituent of the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company that came into being on 1st January 1923. Your photograph of Tredegar Station would appear to date to the LNWR period say c.1910.
